MICHEL REBELLE

Michel Rebelle is Senior Reservoir Geologist in the Subsurface and Formation Evaluation Department of TOTAL, in Pau (France).

Carbonate and Evaporites sedimentologist as a background, Michel received his PhD in Geology from the University of Paris-Orsay in 1985. He has been working for ELF then TOTAL since 1989, working on many carbonate and clastic reservoirs.

He has been involved in different R&D projects on Carbonates and on Petrophysical Synthesis. He is the TOTAL Static Rock-Typing champion after more than 15 years of experience in this domain. He was detached as TOTAL secondee by ADCO from 2002 to 2006.

Michel has been awarded as Best Presenter in SPWLA Abu Dhabi in 2005 (Low resistivity pays in Carbonates), 2008 (Rock-Typing) and 2010 (Rock-Typing in carbonates), and as Best Geophysics Poster in GEO 2006 (Polygonal faults).
