Jabel Hafeet Field Trip We held a field trip to view a number of interesting outcrops in the Jabel Hafeet area. The field trip took geological discussion into account but more focused on the impact of the rock formations on logging tool responses – and the possibilities of reconstructing subsurface properties where the only data is from wells that are one or two kilometers apart. Carbonate Factory Field Trip Number of modern day examples of carbonate and evaporite depositional systems were shown in this trip. These are in the Mussafah area and also on Al Qanatir, Hudairiat and Bahrani Islands. |
